60k with Its Very Own Table Tennis Tournament

02.04.2018

The past two weeks have been very excited for everyone at 60k because we hosted our very own Table Tennis tournament!

The event has made its return after a two year pause and surely saw a great interest among those who play the sport and their colleagues. More than 50 people signed up for the tournament which took place in the Game Room of our office in the course of two weeks.

The tournament was carried out similar to a professional event in this sport in three stages – groups, elimination and finals. We had two separate streams for men and women, however as it was expected, there were a lot more male participants who signed up. This didn't stop the female players to show off their amazing skills and hold their ground until the very end of the tournament.

The finals were played last Saturday, 31st March, when four men played for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and two women played for 1st and 2nd place. For the men, the winner of the gold at the 2018 60k Table Tennis tournament was Stefan Andreev. Second in the tournament came the veteran Julian Tokmakov. Ivan Pandov finished third. In the women's stream, the winner was Desislava Karabiberova, followed by Rozalina Mihailova who got the silver. Third in the women's stream finished Veselina Shumanova.

The tournament was organized with the great support of 60k's Social Committee members. This was one of our most successful internal events and judging by the big crowds that gathered for each match, table tennis has definitely become a 60k favourite.

We hope that all participants and the public at the games had fun and we cannot wait to get started on our next big sporting event
